    In this gallery, vistors will learn all about phosphate and why it is essential in our world today. From growing food to replenishing natural landscapes, phosphate helps our community thrive.

  • Fossil Gallery

    The Fossil Gallery is in a historic train depot. The Depot is home to a prehistoric fossil collection that was acquired from the Bone Valley Fossil Collection in Bradley, Florida. This area of the museum includes fossils of sea and land creatures including whales, dolphins, and sharks, land creatures such as tortoises, rhinos and giraffes, and arrowheads.

  • History Gallery

    In this gallery, visitors will learn about old mining towns. Some names might look familiar to places that are still around today! Visitors will also learn about the history of our town, Mulberry!

Fun Features

  • Dragline Dig Pile

    Here visitors can dig for shark teeth. Here you will see a 44-yard Dragline bucket that was once used to dig phosphate rock. Kids can dig behind a mound of rock and search for shark teeth and prehistoric animal remains.

  • 1880s Manchester 4-4-0 locomotive

    Found buried underground, by Mulberry Phosphate, Inc. This steam engine train was once used to haul phosphate all around Florida. Thought to be buried around 1930s, this train spent almost 80 years underground, before being found in 2012.

  • Seaboard Coast Line Caboose

    Housed at the back of the fossil gallery, visitors can tour an old Seaboard Coast Line caboose and see what life was like on the railroad.
